For those well-versed in Greek mythology, that has been what has made God of War so unique and different from other games of the genre. Old and surprising new characters pop up to further immerse you in the game universe. The plot has never been the backbone of the God of War series, but it remains compelling, driving you forward to the satisfying conclusion of Kratos’ journey of revenge.

The combat moves are also very diverse, with numerous special abilities alongside the usual attack, block, and dodge options. Orbs can be collected and used to improve your chances, along with secret items to gather if you’re willing to explore the environments. The highlight of this game has to be the boss fights. From the very first one to the last, they are some of the most incredible experiences you can have in gaming. However, it’s not all just combat; the game also features puzzle segments that perfectly balance the pacing. They give your fingers and brain a rest after slaying thousands of enemies, and they’re quite enjoyable. The climbing, jumping, and swinging elements help maintain a good balance between combat, puzzles, and traversal. Overall, this is a cinematic tale of revenge and vengeance with epic action.”

God of War III really shines in its graphics. It will leave you awestruck. The lighting, architecture, sound, gameplay, and art direction are all astonishing in how they are combined and presented. That is what makes this game so special.

The sound and music in the game are fantastic. You know what to expect if you’ve played the previous two installments in the series. The sounds in the game are really great – clashing swords, screams, cracking bones, even when you twist someone’s neck or rip their head off, the piercing sounds, the gushing blood, not to mention the epic combat music. It really fits the atmosphere and gets you pumped up.
