Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux first launched in Japan in 2017 with a Japanese language pack. More than a year later, Atlus USA finally released this incredible game’s global version.

Strange Journey Redux is considered a Redux version of the title Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. The original game was initially launched on Nintendo DS nearly ten years ago. Just so you don’t get confused, Redux is a concept different from Ramake. This version makes some tweaks and adds new functions, but the changes are not extensive enough to make it a REMAKE game.

Like many Redux versions of other games, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux retains the game’s core gameplay and main story features. However, we have some more positive changes in gameplay and graphics.

In terms of plot, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux tells about the events that happened in cold Antarctica, specifically the continent of Antarctica. This is considered the coldest place on Earth. Around the beginning of the 21st century, a nuclear explosion occurred that disturbed space and time here, and a giant black hole appeared. It grew more prominent as if it wanted to swallow the whole world. In that situation, the United Nations quickly sent a group of experts to research and understand what was happening here. And it didn’t take long for that group of experts to promptly realize that the mysterious black hole was the gate connecting this world with the world of demons. After an unexpected period, they realized they had to act quickly to repel these demons and save the Earth.

In addition to the old storyline, this version has added three different endings to the game and new plot opening knots.
