Samurai Warriors is part of a long but beginning series of games on NES called Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a tactical game. Then Koei created Dynasty Warriors for the PlayStation and actually told that story in a hack-and-slash form. Samurai Warriors is the next game in the hack-and-slash genre and this time based on the story of the Japanese Civil War.

Beginning with Samurai Warriors: Chronicles, players choose a male or female character to play, then the story is told from the perspective of that character. Chronicles has been made more accessible and playable for newcomers to this great series. You move the characters with the analog, attack with the Y and X buttons and change the camera angle by pressing the L button. Holding the L button will make your hero stick. Pressing the R button increases weapons strength and pressing the A button triggers a great blow.

After creating a custom Samurai character to your liking, you will take part in famous historical battles and encounter renowned historical figures like Oda Nobunaga, Tokugawa Ieyasu, Date Masamune. Samurai Warriors: Chronicles has a fast-paced battle system. Players can combine powerful attack strikes and special skills to inflict damage on a range of enemies.

In the clips, your answers determine the path you choose. It could be fighting on the same side or later becoming an enemy. Thro the journey, the shopping area will be unlocked and here you can upgrade your weapons, sell items and even buy horses to ride.
