The game has a fantastic level design with meaningful changes. It was a great step forward for the series. It built upon what was introduced in Super Mario Bros 3 and refined it into an even better experience. The Game Boy Advance version is nearly identical to the original Super NES game. Also, like Super Mario Bros on GBA, Nintendo added voice effects, which can get annoying after a while. But it’s not too bad. This is a fantastic game, having Super Mario World fit right in your palm is just crazy. It’s hard to believe a game nearly 20 years old can still play this well. There are so many different worlds and many secret exits, and finding those really makes you think, unlike other simple platformers. The game also has a new status screen to track which secret exits you’ve found, which is very handy.
