However, the sun goddess Amaterasu came to Earth in the shape of a wolf, proving that the gods did not desert this far-off piece of the universe. But she was in for a nasty surprise when she realized that the fading planet had turned into a haven for ancient evil. And the window of opportunity to preserve it was closing.
