In the third installment of this supernatural thriller, the hero Dante – half human, half demon, and the Devil Emperor’s son – has just begun his war against the forces of Evil. The game’s events take place soon before the storyline of the original Devil May Cry, and they revolve around a conflict between 19-year-old Dante and his twin brother Virgil. The ruthless Virgil chose to support the forces of Darkness, whilst Dante vowed to revenge his mother’s murderers at all means…

Dante is devilishly proficient with both sword and handgun; he can use pistols, machine guns, piercing, and cutting weapons in any combination. The hero must chop his way through swarms of adversaries while shooting down hordes of evil monsters.

Attractive game mechanics

Devil May Cry 3 has a system to assess the player’s style and competence; the more diverse your tactics, the more points you get. Toss an adversary into the air using swords, then administer a series of lethal hits with nunchucks before finishing the combo with a controlled headshot. Using the same combinations will result in less points, which may be spent on weapons, health, energy, and special attacks.

A class and battle style selection system exclusive to the Devil May Cry series: Gunslinger, Swordmaster, Trickster, and Royal Guard. Each choice makes the game feel fresh as if you’re playing for the first time. Each class has unique attack tactics, blow combos, and opponent vulnerabilities.
