These gears were incredibly strong, but they were totally subservient to the humans and lacked any kind of free choice. Ever since then, people have been living in constant worry that gears would eventually take over the planet. To determine who might defeat the rebel gears, the Sacred Order of the Holy Knights staged battle contests.
