“Front Mission” is an isometric view turn-based strategic role-playing game. Players advance through the plot by participating in massive strategic battles with various forces, intercut with cutscenes between them. The player can visit various locales, such as stores and pubs, and interact with locals in certain areas, often towns. There are also shops where you may buy new weapons, and components, and have them fixed. When it comes to fighting, each Wanzer robot is an independent unit with a wide array of weaponry and attack styles at its disposal. When units beat foes and use different strategies, they gain experience. An attack’s potency increases in proportion to its usage.
