Tearaway probably won’t be as commercially successful or help a struggling platform as the PS Vita, but it will be different in a good way. This is one of the most enjoyable games ever released on the system. Now, you can enjoy it again on the Vita3K emulator.

Tearaway uses both the PS Vita’s front and back cameras, and the game focuses on merging your reality with theirs. You are called “You,” and you can often see yourself in the middle of the Sun. You guide Iota on this journey, helping him convey the message.

The gameplay is fun because it takes all the things you wouldn’t normally use on the PS Vita and makes them worth using. The game is built around the rear, front touchscreen, camera, microphone, and accelerometer. You use the buttons and joystick for normal third-person actions like moving, picking up items, throwing items, jumping, etc., but the environments often require you to use the Vita’s additional functions.

One thing is clear: Tearaway does a great job with the art style and creativity. The game looks amazing; everything is made of vibrant colors of paper. There are plenty of rewards to collect; some even reward you with drawings for real crafting in real life. What I like the most are the little details like stepping on a folded piece of paper, it flattens out, or the flowers in the game only move when you move. Iota’s world is meticulously cut, glued, and folded.
