In Killzone Mercenary, you take on the role of Aaron Danner, a mercenary who takes contracts from both the ISA and Helghast. This setting makes this the first Killzone game to place you in a neutral position, fighting for both sides in the war. war is going on. The original plot keeps repeating that you get the job done to make money, you don’t care who hires you, you just want to be rich. The entire game revolves around money as every action brings you money.

What’s really impressive about Killzone Mercenary is that it looks so good. The game runs on a modified PS3 engine, Gorilla Cambridge really makes a great title for the Vita. This Killzone feels very realistic, with the little trade-off. You will feel familiar as soon as you play. The gameplay is still the same as Killzone before, including the heavy feel of the characters and weapons.

As always, multiplayer is a big part of Mercenary and overall it’s great. Fight 4vs4 with 3 standard game modes: Solo Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Warzone with objective-based modes. The modes seem limited but necessary given the Vita’s low base settings.

This is a stunningly beautiful game that plays exactly like the console version. What Killzone Mercenary can say that other FPS cannot is a console-quality mobile experience. Now you can test this out by playing it on the PS Vita emulator.
