Second Sight takes you along the actions of psychic researcher John Vattic from MIT. It is a series of attempts to restore his memory as well as unravel the mystery of his mysterious abilities: telekinesis, mind projection, healing and soul possession.

Plot

John wakes up in a military hospital bed but doesn’t remember how he got there or who he is (before he learns his name, the game calls him patient JV-034). He escaped from his hospital room by mysteriously using telekinesis on the door. He also learns how to heal himself. John tries to find his records in the hospital, but then he begins experiencing vivid memories of what happened to him half a year ago. One of those memories is a military training session in Bremen, Germany (this is a training mission for the player).

His mission six months ago took him to Russia with a small team called WinterICE with orders to find out why a Russian scientist everyone assumed was dead wanted to seek political asylum in America. This scientist – Professor Victor Grinko – is believed to have died after being accused of helping the Germans during the war, conducting supernatural experiments on prisoners of war. When the Red Army attacked the prisoner of war camp, he was declared one of the dead. But after the war, Stalin started a project with the same purpose as the Germans, and the head of the project was a man named Grinko. This project, called “Zener”, is located in the village of Dubrensk. John was chosen as a civilian to accompany the group following the recommendation of a psychic named Jane Wild, who was also accompanying the team. John is skeptical about Jane’s vision but agrees to go on the trip.

When playing John Vattic, you can:

• Use various telepath abilities, such as Healing, Telekinesis, Astral Possessing, and Mind Projection;
• Explore the secret base, hidden far away in Siberia, and the massive medical laboratory where experiments are performed on Vattic – and not just on him!
• Learn about John’s past and understand how he became a mad scientist’s lab rabbit;
• And finally, expose the government’s conspiracy and expose those involved in it.
