Released in September 2005, the cult classic computer game Indigo Prophecy (known as Fahrenheit in Europe, Asia, and Australia) is still going strong today. Atari published it after the French company Quantic Dream produced it. David Cage, the company’s creator, is the principal game designer and writer.

Journalists and reviewers praised the game for its great plot, which won it several accolades (such as “Game of the Year” from Igromania magazine and GameSpot’s Best Story of 2005).

Lucas Kane, the main character, finds himself in a typical diner’s restroom. A man’s body lies next to him, and he is holding a bloodied knife in his hand. Lucas doesn’t recall anything, but he is certain that he didn’t intend to murder anyone, and he is determined to find out why. Later on, he develops amazing magical skills that will aid him in stopping the world from being taken over by the enigmatic cult engaged in all of this.

In the restroom of an East End café, a regular employee of a New York bank murders a stranger. Nothing out of the ordinary for a city where homicides occur on a daily basis, with one exception. This man was not someone Lucas Kane wanted to kill. He observed and understood what was going on, but he was powerless to stop it. Above all, he is most interested in learning what motivated him to do the crime. Carla Valenti, who is investigating the crime, is also curious about this: sometimes a case that seems straightforward at first reveals to be far more intricate than one may have imagined.
