Berserk: Millennium Falcon Hen Seima Senki no Shō ROM Description
The events in Berserk: Millennium Falcon Hen Seima Senki no Shō span from the first chapter of volume 23 to the third chapter of volume 27 of the original manga. At the beginning of the game, you return to the site where Guts met Griffith and Zodd on the Hill of Swords. Note that not all events from the manga are shown in the game, only a small part.
The game introduces a completely new character not present in the manga, Apostle Charlie. He was most likely invented not by the manga author but by the game developers. This character is artificial and disconnected from the main storyline of the manga. Why is he even necessary there? The answer comes at the end of the game. The developers simply wanted to arrange one more duel between Guts and Griffith, and the new apostle just provided the illusion. In it, you fight not only Griffith but Corkus, Judeau, Pippin, and even Casca. This apostle looks like a boy, and as I understand it, he suffers from dissociative identity disorder: he either speaks to himself or to his twin sister. The apostle’s image is a giant blue butterfly (the same color as his behelit) with a pair of lively red eyes on its wings.
Overall impressions after completing the game:
The game very carefully conveys the atmosphere of the “Berserk” manga, all the main characters look exactly like the characters in the manga, every detail of their appearance, clothes, etc. Berserk’s gameplay is similar to games in Electronic Arts’ The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers/The Return of the King series but with dismemberment (Guts looks very stylish when his cloak, armor and sword are covered in blood from killing enemies), and boss battles are almost spectacular like Resident Evil 4 or God of War.
