Both you and your enemies have weaknesses and resistances to certain types of attacks. If you can exploit an enemy’s weakness, you gain an extra action during your turn. However, if you use an attack that the enemy resists, you lose your remaining actions. While many JRPGs only require high levels and appropriate equipment, Shin Megami Tensei 4 emphasizes team chemistry and mutual support.
