Mega Man Anniversary Collection (Capcom) is a compilation of ten video games featuring the well-known Mega Man (or Rockman in Japan).

This collection includes the first eight 2D Mega Man games, as well as two “Extra” arcade games that saw limited release outside of Japan. The other “Extra” content contains original artwork, interviews with Mega Man’s creator, and music tracks.

The first eight games are similar in that they consist of eight stage locations (six in the first game) that you play through, fight a robot boss to gain a new weapon and ability, and ultimately take on the evil Dr. Wily (doesn’t he look like Dr. Eggman from Sonic in that spherical anti-gravity mobile?).

An additional “Navi Mode” feature is available during the first six games.

The arcade games resemble the first eight in gameplay, but are slightly faster-paced; the bosses are now harder to hit and the game becomes much more difficult with each defeat.
