As the third and final edition in the Hugo adventure series, Hugo III: Jungle of Doom is the game that concludes the series. The game utilizes the same engine that was used in earlier Hugo games, in addition to including several new functionalities. For example, there is a turbo button and a “hints” function included here. In this video game, Hugo and his girlfriend Penolope are involved in an accident that takes place in a forest in South America. Penolope gets bitten by a snake that is known to be dangerous. When you play the role of Hugo, you will go through the forest, face off against a witch doctor, and search for the “pool of life.” The Hugo series eventually evolved into a first-person shooter in three dimensions called Nitemare-3D.
