In the visual adventure game Goblins, which is both black and white, the player is required to write VERB NOUN instructions in order to go across goblin nation. While the player begins the game in the middle of a field, they are tasked with collecting all fourteen riches and bringing them back to a secure location. Due to the fact that the ancient goblin King Gobnarsk II has ordered his followers to adhere to a policy of isolationism, it is imperative that caution be exercised. They will assault anybody who ventures into their territory. Since the goblin hordes awaken at sunset, the player begins the game at morning and has just 350 turns to collect the objects before they are destroyed. The player is tasked with collecting a variety of valuables, some of which include a diamond, a priceless artwork by Van Gogh, a magic cup, money, a magic harp, a gold block, a magic map, pearls, a magic ring, a costly rose, and silver. Ascending mountains, diving beneath the ocean to meet King Neptune, riding a dragon, avoiding a frightening ogre, and exploring the realm of the elves are all necessary steps for the player to do in order to get all of these magnificent riches. Last but not least, these objects are required to be kept in a treehouse that is guarded by a spiritual being. Following the conclusion of their allowed turns, the player is awarded a score that is determined by the extent to which their adventure was completed.
