The plot of Breath of the Wild is familiar. Princess Zelda has gone missing once again. You will continue to play as Link to search for and rescue her from the hands of Lord Ganon. But somehow, you have been frozen for 100 years after a series of events. Now you have been called upon once again to save the land from the evil Ganon. And every character across the land has a vague memory of having heard of you, but no one believes you are actually Link, because no one has seen or heard of him in 100 years. So you have to prove yourself to each of them by doing a bunch of tedious quests and eventually defeating 4 magical beasts and facing the final boss.

What makes Breath of the Wild unique and different from the rest of the series is the amazing open world it offers. You and I were blown away by how never before has a Zelda game felt so real. When I jumped off a tall tower and parachuted, the world didn’t feel like it was loading as I approached it. It all blended together so seamlessly, like a real place. You’ll be up in a tower and see something in the distance that you want to get to and you think you can get there, and you parachute down, and suddenly you realize that you’re in a rainforest or rocky terrain, and you’re very far from your destination and it’ll take a while to get there. The game feels very real in that way.

This game really packs a lot into it. You can walk around all day – actual days – without completing any of the main quests because you’re just experiencing the world. It’s truly one of the best games I’ve ever played, and my favorite Zelda game of all time.

Ultimately, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a perfect game that I, and millions of gamers, have no complaints about. It’s one of those rare games where I bet you want to complete everything. You don’t just want to find weird green rabbits when you shoot them and get stuff, combine food and cook, do all this crazy stuff in any way you want. If you have a Wii U or a Wii U emulator then this is the time to put it to full use for this masterpiece.
