Pokémon Quest is a spin-off game released for the Nintendo Switch in 2018. Unlike most other IPs in the franchise, this is a free-to-play game.

As mentioned, Pokémon Quest is a free-to-play, cross-platform game. The core gameplay focuses on exploring the island of Tumblecube and encountering new Pokémon in battle with an auto-battling system based on a cooldown mechanic. We also have a base to customize and develop your team while cooking attracts new Pokémon to fill the Pokedex. Clearly this is a great game to enjoy for any Pokémon game fan.

Pokémon Quest uses a very cute art style with distinct blocky designs, the Pokémon shapes are funny and can be designed to be superior compared to some other rivals. The in-game music is also really good as we’d expect from Game Freak, it has a digital feeling, almost chiptune fitting the blocky Pokémon style.
