A malevolent organization known as the Shinra Electric Power Company has seized control of the planet’s energy source, known as Mako, and has thereby brought the whole globe under its sway.

An anti-Shinra rebel faction known as Avalanche has intensified their resistance effort in the Midgar megalopolis.

Unaware that he will be entangled in a titanic conflict for the planet’s destiny while grappling with his own enigmatic history, Cloud Strife—a mercenary who formerly belonged to Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit—offers his assistance to the rebels.

The original Final Fantasy VII served as the basis for this game’s port.
