ARK: Survival Evolved drops you on a prehistoric island then you have to learn how to survive. Use your ingenuity to kill or tame the primitive creatures that roam the area then do whatever you want to build your base in this dangerous ancient world.

There are about 80 creatures you can tame in the game. Once you have tamed a creature, you will be able to command it to the extent that you have tamed and trained it well. Pets grow and level up, consume food and carry your belongings. Fly on a pterodactyl, race through the jungle with your flock of raptors or stalk your prey on a Tyrannosaurus rex! Observe a dynamic ecosystem with its own hierarchy of predators and prey. Breed your pets through successive generations of crossbreeding to improve their traits and characteristics.

To survive, you need to eat a variety of foods (including human flesh!). Every action in the game depletes your food and water supplies, and long journeys also drain your stamina. The weight of your inventory slows you down and the environment changes depending on the time of day and weather conditions. Craft clothes, build shelters, and use fire to protect yourself from injury and the elements.

You can chop down trees, collect ores, and more to become a skilled craftsman. Use a variety of attachments to create powerful equipment. Build a foundation from different materials and customize it with paint and symbols to draw on. Weapons, clothes, armor, and other equipment can also be customized.

As you level up your character and gain experience in the game, you will be able to create new “engrams” to craft items and find the most complex blueprints in the most dangerous corners. Customize your character’s appearance with a comprehensive customization system.
