In Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams, most of the time, you (James) have to wander around the foggy Silent Hill. After waking up in a bathroom, somehow you meet Maria, a strange girl who looks exactly like Mary you are looking for. He goes into some apartments, goes to the strip club, and then goes down the three-story basement of the hill to find a derelict boat, all in an effort to find the rotting corpse of his wife.

Unlike Silent Hill 1, everyone you meet in Silent Hill 2 is unreliable and crazy. Angela is scared of everything and completely useless, definitely the least likely to leave you in the face with a spoon. Eddie doesn’t seem to care at all, and Laura, I will explain my feelings about her by saying that the first time we see her, she stomps on James’s hand and kicks the door key we need away. Then, when we catch up with her, she locks us in a room with the hanging demons. So it’s safe to say she’s the worst kid I’ve ever seen since Parky Minch.
