Mario Strikers Charged ROM Description
Mario Strikers Charged for Wii launched just two years after Super Mario Strikers. The game continues the crazy and exaggerated Mario soccer concept. From the armored suits replacing sports jerseys, to the Mad Max desert style of the stadiums, it’s clear from the start that the sequel is going in a much more aggressive direction than the original.
Mario Strikers Charged Wii makes some important changes that are immediately recognizable. This Wii sequel still uses most of the core concepts that made the original so fun. What we have is a crazy, chaotic Mario-style soccer game with characters from the Mario Series, but Charged has made some key changes. First, you can now choose three different teammates to complete your squad instead of everyone being the same teammate as in the original version.
This is really important because each teammate and captain has their own stats and special abilities. If you are a person who likes strong shots, you can choose Bowser as your captain with two powerful but slow Hammer Bro and a Monty Mole. Or if speed is your top priority, choosing Daisy as your captain to combine with some fast teammates like Toad, Boo, and Shy Guy might be the best choice.
What about the core gameplay? There are no real rules; you can rush at your opponents and be as ruthless as possible and do anything even crazier.
The game introduces a crazier item system to use, and some stadiums actually have their own effects. For example, a course with strong winds blowing objects around can push you off the course. Or the field with the lava pit, sometimes with fireballs falling from the sky, creating a real danger for the players. All mixed to create crazy and chaotic football matches but also full of fun.
Nintendo also brought back many of the classic courses from the first game, so there’s plenty of content to explore in this Wii version. We have a total of 17 courts after unlocking them all, enough for you to enjoy football matches and always have fun.
