Tchia ROM Description

Tchia takes inspiration for its gameplay from Breath of the Wild. The game was initially released on PS4 and PS5, but eventually you were able to download it and play it for free on the Nintendo Switch. The game is set in New Caledonia with a storyline based on the mythology of this region. Although the game can be bright and colorful, the story quickly becomes quite dark when the villain Mavora kidnaps your parents. Of course, you have to rescue them and to do that, you will adventure in a vast and beautiful world, climbing, gliding and sliding as you please.

The game has very simple and fast movement mechanics once you get the hang of it, especially when you realize your main character can land on trees and propel yourself off of them, this is my favorite mechanic in the game because it creates an amazing momentum feeling when using the glider. You also have the special ability to take control of animals and objects. Some animals have special abilities like crabs that can cut rope, but birds are the most useful since they allow you to get to locations quickly.

Tchia succeeds in creating a pleasant atmosphere and it’s all thanks to the presentation. This game is gorgeous, just looking at the environment around you is enough to be awestruck. You can cruise towards the next objective on the sea very comfortably thanks to the cozy atmosphere the game creates. Not only is the world cozy but it also has lots of downtime for you to explore and enjoy.
