Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is an adventure game with life simulation elements for the Nintendo Switch. The game takes you on a journey between two worlds with Shin, a popular cartoon character in Japan.

After the exciting adventures in the previous two games, Shin chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation – The Endless Seven-Day Journey, Shin embarks on a new, delightful journey between two villages in Akita and Coal Town.

A New Story

The Nohara family is on their way to Akita Prefecture… Hiroshi has a sudden business trip near his hometown in Akita Prefecture. So, the Nohara family will live in a small village near Hiroshi’s parents’ house. They rent a traditional Japanese farmhouse and enjoy the rural life. Amidst the peaceful countryside scenery, the family will live carefree and relaxed, immersing themselves in nature.

Shin’s grandfather, Ginnosuke, will introduce him to the wonders of rural life, such as catching insects and fishing. In the evenings, the family gathers around the fireplace to enjoy Akita’s local specialties.

Shin also spends time chatting with the villagers and making new friends. Life seems very enjoyable until Shin meets Shiro.

One morning, Shiro appears at the house by the lake. As a confused Shin watches, Shiro runs away. Shin chases after Shiro until he comes across a mysterious train that has appeared for the first time. To catch up with Shiro, Shin accidentally boards the train. And his journey between the real and dream worlds begins there.

Welcome to Coal Town

The train takes them both to a bustling and cheerful town that seems to have been forgotten since the Showa era. In Coal Town, people work hard and enjoy life peacefully. Shin happens to meet and befriend a mysterious girl. He begins a new adventure in Coal Town with excitement for the many interesting things that await him.

And surprise, Shin’s new friend in Coal Town is actually a young inventor. The girl with endless creativity and unique inventions will open up new things to discover. The two will collaborate to create great innovations to change the face of the town.

Coal Town is a vibrant town with many exciting activities. Shin will have many wonderful memories at the local diner, participating in trolley races, and more. Let’s explore it all while playing Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town!
