Following Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, we have another remake of the beloved original game on the old 3DS system with Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. This exclusive release is for the Nintendo Switch system.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD retains the core gameplay of the original game. You move from room to room, vacuuming ghosts, solving puzzles, and collecting treasure. The game provides a variety of diverse missions with the ultimate goal of helping Luigi collect the missing pieces of the Dark Moon that are scattered in some haunted mansions throughout the woods.

This game seems to be Luigi’s Mansion 2 with upgraded graphics simply. The graphics are a bit nicer, smoother, and higher resolution which is the main thing. However, Nintendo didn’t just upgrade the graphics from the 3DS version. They refreshed some things, mainly the character models. We can clearly see this on Luigi himself, with a much higher polygon count and looking nicer. Additionally, the whole game runs at a higher resolution with nicer lighting and shadows.
