Fate/Stay Night Remastered begins after an unexpected incident in Fuyuki City, Japan. An ordinary high school student named Emiya Shiro is reluctantly forced to participate in the “Holy Grail War”. This is a periodic battle between seven mages to obtain the legendary Holy Grail – an object that can grant any wish of the winner. The wish will surely change their fate. Each magus can summon a “servant” – a great heroic spirit from the past or future – to fight for their master.

There are seven servants, each belonging to a different fighting class: Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Berserker, Assassin, and Caster. The battle continues until only one pair of master and servant remains. Shiro Emiya does not wish to summon a swordswoman as a servant, who aims to win the Holy Grail at all costs. However, he does not want to participate in the battle because he lost all his relatives in the previous war.

Emiya begins to receive help from Rin Tohsaka – a powerful magus from the same school as Shiro. But the rules of the Holy Grail War dictate that sooner or later they will have to fight each other, and the most likely outcome for the loser is death.

This is a remake for Nintendo Switch to celebrate the franchise’s 20th anniversary, including improved graphics and animation in Full HD.
