Everyone in the Dokapon Kingdom loves money, but one day monsters come into this calm kingdom and assault the palace and villages. The people are reduced to poverty, and the King receives no taxes, so he summons four courageous knights to exterminate all of the monsters.

The player (or players) takes control of one of the knights (there are eight distinct characters to pick from, each with unique attacks and qualities) and begins destroying the creatures in the castle. The gameplay consists on utilizing a roulette to determine how many squares the player may move, which can include goods, magic items, traps, inns, stores, adversaries, and so on.

The fighting section employs the standard combat system of a turn-based RPG, with players picking the appropriate action in each round. When the primary monster in each level is defeated, the game unlocks new portions of the kingdom.
