Lego Marvel’s Avengers is a 3D action game with role-playing and puzzle elements for Nintendo 3DS. Similar to its predecessors, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers maintains the core characteristics that made the LEGO series famous: Finding your way, solving puzzles, and having to coordinate with the abilities of your companion characters to overcome levels play, along with a humorous and charming narrative.

The game’s plot focuses on the first two Avengers films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You’ll replay all the key scenes from those two movies, along with a few extras like the train scene from Captain America: The First Avenger. The storytelling I thought was quite cute, with a lot of funny Lego-style animations and changes, like Iron Man not wearing pants after jumping off the Helicarrier and being covered by Captain America’s shield.

Lego Marvel’s Avengers introduces Free Mode, which a lot of people love. You have a fairly large New York City to freely run, drive or fly around, with several mini-games that you can follow and entertain, as well as an explorable Helicarrier.
