In The Sims 3: Pets for PS3, you can control humans, dogs, and cats and tell the story of their lives. Everything about The Sims 3 Pets looks exactly like the original The Sims 3. We have the same console graphics and gameplay, but now it’s set in a town called Sugar Maple Coast and allows you to keep pets.

Pets bring work, activity, and variety to the eat, sleep, toilet, work, and repeat routine that The Sims has lived by for years. The biggest plot additions are the mysteries. By registering at the town hall as an occultist, players can tackle one of five quests involving treasure hunting, secret clubs, and trying to become the top pet in town.

But it’s the stories you write yourself that truly make The Sims 3 Pets worthwhile, whether you create a crazy cat-owning granny, a puppy collector, or a stable, well-kept family that enjoys ghost hunting. The direction is up to you.
