Link was living a quiet life as a shepherd until one day, he saw his childhood friend Ilia bathing the horse Epona. They talked when suddenly Bulblin monsters burst in, kidnapped Ilia, and knocked Link unconscious.

When Link wakes up, he gives chase but is blocked by a wall of darkness. A startled animal pulled Link through the darkness. Link begins to feel strange and turns into a wolf, and is captured by the dark creature.

Link meets a mysterious girl who says she can help him. Together, they escape and find Princess Zelda. She says that the Twilight Kingdom has attacked Hyrule. Instead of war, Zelda decides to surrender. Link and Midna return to Link’s village to turn him back to normal and destroy the new threat in Hyrule.

Twilight Princess is very similar to Ocarina of Time in terms of gameplay. It consists mainly of entering caves, exploring, fighting bosses, and repeating. It still has new gameplay features that make the game come alive and separate it from other Zelda games. The strongest point of Twilight Princess is the caves. They are very well designed, except for the Forest, which is a bit boring. But places like Snowpeak and Arbiter’s Grounds are exciting, not only in design but also in atmosphere. Those are some of the best dungeons in the Zelda series.

The music in the game is very good and atmospheric. Gerudo Valley feels barren and deserted, while Snowpeak has an icy melody that sounds like it was created from ice crystals on a snowy mountain.

The plot is great and exploring the mysteries of the Twilight Realm is a lot of fun. Besides, the level of design is excellent, and the music is impressive. It has a few issues, but they are minor and don’t affect the overall quality of one of the best games in the Zelda series.
