DeSmuME Description
DeSmuME is a Nintendo DS emulator for modern PCs and Smartphones. The application has similar functions to NO$GBA and iDeas by allowing you to play Nintendo DS games in another environment without the need for the original device. It is also available as a libretro core for RetroArch.
DeSmuME still has strengths that long-standing NDS emulators like NO$GBA do not have: GBA Slot or Wi-Fi plugin. These functions help you get to the Underground in Pokemon Platinum, something many of you are crying about because you can’t use NO$GBA. The application also offers some other cool functions such as Rotation, and screen enlargement without using supporting software.
With the support of DeSmuME, you can play all Nintendo DS games on PC and Mobile, something that was previously only possible on an original Nintendo device.
While DeSmuME is now one of the top Nintendo DS emulators on PCs, MelonDS has been catching up recently. DeSmuME outperforms No$GBA in terms of accuracy, albeit not without flaws. It also has more sophisticated features compared to MelonDS. However, it requires more hardware than most other DS emulators (either No$GBA or emulated DraStic) and does not support all functions.
